Neuroptera: Myrmeleontidae
Glenoleon meteoricus
An adult antlion.
More commonly encountered are the holes dug by the antlion nymphs surrounded by a ring of excavated sand like a miniature volcano. The antlion nymph remains concealed in the hole waiting for insects to slide down on an avalanche of sand.
